How to sell digital products without a website

You can sell digital products without a website by using a hosted store link. ShopFast gives every store its own address on shopfa.st with a template, a checkout and automatic delivery, which you share in your link in bio, posts, videos and DMs. Buyers can also buy inside your Discord server or Telegram bot, and you can add buy buttons to a site you already have.

You don’t need a domain, hosting or a developer to sell a digital product. You need three things: a page that shows the product, a checkout that takes payment, and delivery that happens without you. A hosted store gives you all three behind one link, which is how many creators start, and plenty never need more.

What you need to sell digital products without a website

  • A store link with a page for each product, a checkout and delivery.
  • A way to get paid: cards, PayPal, crypto, or several of them (payment methods for digital products).
  • Automatic delivery, so files, keys, links and access reach buyers the moment they pay (automatic delivery for digital products).
  • Somewhere you already have attention: a social profile, a YouTube channel, a Discord server, a mailing list.

That last one matters more than anything technical. A store link in front of an audience sells; a beautiful website nobody visits doesn’t.

Every ShopFast store gets its own address on shopfa.st, like yourhandle.shopfa.st, on every plan including the free one. It comes with a ready-made template you can change in the visual editor (sections, blocks and a live preview), or you can start from the AI store builder. Each product has its own page and link, and you can group products into categories and collections and drag them into the order you want.

While you set up, a store password keeps the store private. When you’re ready, run a test sale to see checkout and delivery as a buyer will (get started). More on building it out in digital storefront.

A link-in-bio store works because the buyer is already interested when they tap. Make that tap count:

  • Link to the product, not just the store, when a post is about one product.
  • Tag each link with a campaign, so your store’s analytics shows which post or video brought each sale.
  • Keep the store short at first. A few clear products are easier to choose from on a small screen than a long list.
  • Add your social links to the store’s header or footer, so buyers can check who you are.

Buyers can check out in a sheet that opens over your store, which keeps the path from post to payment short. If a payment fails, they get one-tap buttons for your other ways to pay, with their details kept.

A store link travels anywhere text does. Put product links in video descriptions and pinned comments, answer “where can I get this?” with a direct link, and send a link in DMs when someone asks. Choose payment methods that match your audience: cards and wallets for most buyers, crypto for communities that prefer it. Then test the whole checkout on a phone, where people tapping a bio link usually are. With most gateways the payment form opens over your checkout, so buyers never leave your store.

Embed a buy button on a page you already have

Have a portfolio, a blog or a newsletter archive, just not a store? You can add selling to it without moving anything. Embeds put product cards, buy buttons or the whole checkout on your own pages (embeds). With the embedded checkout, buyers pay right on your page, and Fraud Shield checks embedded checkouts and buy buttons like any other order (Fraud Shield).

A buyer arriving from a post doesn’t know your store yet, and a page that looks unfinished loses them. A few things do most of the work:

  • Reviews from verified purchases on your products. If you collected vouches on MyVouches, you can bring them in as reviews.
  • Your legal name and address, set once, so checkout shows who the buyer is buying from.
  • A clear refund policy, linked from every product page (refund policy for digital products).
  • Real product pages: what’s included, previews, the format, and what happens after payment.

Sell inside Discord or Telegram

If your audience lives in a chat app, sell there:

  • Discord. Buyers run /buy in your server, and a role can be granted the moment they pay and removed on a refund. See how to sell on Discord and sell Discord roles.
  • Telegram. A Telegram shop bot lets buyers browse your products and press Pay, then pay through your normal checkout with Fraud Shield included. They prove their Telegram account from the order page and get keys and downloads by DM. Paid groups and channels use single-use invites (sell Telegram channel access).

When a website of your own is worth it

A store link is enough for many sellers. A site of your own starts to pay off when:

  • You want your brand in the address. Connect a custom domain to your ShopFast store on a paid plan (see current plans), and the store becomes your website.
  • Search is a big source of buyers. Your store already writes titles, descriptions, product structured data and sitemaps (store SEO), and long articles on a site of your own can bring in more.
  • You’re a developer who wants full control. The headless storefront API lets you build your own front end on top of ShopFast’s checkout and delivery (headless).

Either way, you can start today with a link and add a domain later.

Step by step

  1. 1. Create your store

Sign up, pick your store's handle and a template, and adjust it in the visual editor or start from the AI store builder. A store password keeps it private while you set up.

  2. 2. Add a product

In Products → Add product, choose what you're selling (files, license keys, a membership, a Discord role or Telegram access) and set the price.

  3. 3. Connect how you get paid

In Money → Payments, connect your own gateway, such as Stripe or PayPal, or crypto to your own wallet.

  4. 4. Run a test sale

Press Simulate first sale on Get started to see checkout and delivery exactly as a buyer will.

  5. 5. Share the link

Put your store or product link in your bio, posts, video descriptions and DMs, and add buy buttons to any page you already have.

Questions sellers ask

Can I sell digital products with just a link?

Yes. Your ShopFast store has its own address on shopfa.st, and every product has its own page, so you can share a link to the store or to one product. Buyers pay at checkout and get their files, keys or access automatically.

Is a link in bio store enough to start selling?

For many creators, yes. Followers tap the link, see the product and pay on their phone. Add a site of your own later if you need long articles for search or a domain with your brand.

Can I add a buy button to my blog or portfolio?

Yes. Embeds put product cards, buy buttons or the whole checkout on a site you already have, and Fraud Shield checks those checkouts like any other.

Can I sell on Discord or Telegram without a website?

Yes. Buyers can run /buy in your Discord server, and a Telegram shop bot lets them browse and pay from inside Telegram, with keys and downloads sent by DM.

Do I need a custom domain?

No. Your shopfa.st address works from day one. You can connect your own domain on a paid plan whenever you want one; current plans are on the pricing page.

Will my store show up on Google?

It can. Your store writes page titles, descriptions, product structured data and a sitemap, and you can hide it from search if you'd rather. New pages usually take a while to appear in search results.
